 everything from PR to deep\npacket inspection and threat intelligence\, th
 e internet is still very much lawless\, international\nwaters. Largely bec
 ause policymakers and elected officials just &quot\;aren’t computer peop
 le&quot\; and\nare woefully underprepared to deal with highly technical to
 pics. Add to this that most\norganizations do not actually do much real se
 curity - they only do whatever their corporate\ncompliance legally require
 s\, and few companies do anything more. The result of this\narrangement is
  that ransomware gangs and other flavors of attackers can do whatever they
 \nwant with impunity - and they&#39\;re getting creative about it. In this
  presentation we&#39\;ll cover some\nof the threat landscape we&#39\;ve se
 en in recent years\, and what businesses and governments are\ndoing to sta
 y on top of things.
